, August 30, 1940, he was the son of the late Carl C and Ruth V (Quigley) Hamer.
He had obtained an Electrical Engineering Degree at UC Berkley, and an MBA from
RIT of Rochester, NY. Dick served his country for 6 years as an officer in the
Navy Seabees in
Australia
and later during the Vietnam War. He raised his family in
Brockport
,
NY
, and had a successful career in management at Eastman Kodak Company. Dick
retired to
Hendersonville
,
NC
, and later
Plymouth
,
MA
, enjoying traveling in his RV. Richard was a member of the First Congregational
Church, Middleboro. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Pat, one son; Rick
Hamer Jr. of Austin, TX, one daughter; Carol and her husband David Brown and
their children, Agnes, Eleanor and Tristan, all of Middleboro, two brothers; Bob
C Hamer and his wife Dawn of Atlanta, GA, Roger A Hamer and his friend Cathy
Senofonte of Franklin Square, NY, brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Alun and
Dianne Wilson of Holand, Michigan. Private calling hours will be held Monday,
Feb. 14th at the Ashley Funeral Home,

Cemetery
, Bourne, on Tues. Feb. 15th, followed by a memorial service at 3:15
pm in which friends are relatives are invited to attend. A collation will
follow. The memorial service and collation will be held at the First
Congregational Church,
