George K. Pittsley, aged 83 years, of Middleboro, died unexpectedly, at his home in Middleboro, February 25, 2007. Born in Middleboro, he was the son of the late, George F. and Annie M. (Horn) Pittsley. He served in the United States Army, during WWII, serving in Normandy , Northern France , and Central Europe Campaign. He had worked for many years for the Maxim Orchards in Lakeville, and also for the Acushnet Golf Company for several years. He is survived by three sisters; Annabel Rogers, Marion F. Gerrior, both of Middleboro, and Florence J. Patistea of North Dartmouth , several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Barbara Anne Pittsley and Carlton W. Pittsley. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 1st, at 1:30 p.m. at the Massachusetts National Cemetery , Bourne. Visiting hours are omitted upon request.
