OBITUARY: (STOUGHTON) Louis Gene Jackson, aged 78 years, of Middleboro, died on Fri. December 23, 2011, at Mt. Sinai Hospital, Stoughton, after a period of failing health. He was the beloved husband of Geri (Richards) Jackson of Middleboro; they had been married for 55 years. Born in Black Oak, AR, he was the son of the late Roy and Lula (Harris) Jackson. Mr. Jackson had been employed at the Ocean Spray Cranberry Co., in grower relations, retiring after 20 years. He served in the United States Navy, during the Korean Conflict, serving from 1952-1956. He was an avid fisherman, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be warmheartedly remembered as a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife, Geraldine, two daughters, Kellie Jackson of Easton, Yvonne Burch of Middleboro, four brothers, Glenn Jackson of AR, James, Harold, and Sammy Jackson, all of MO, two sisters, Virginia Phillips and Elizabeth Jackson, both of AR, four grandchildren, Tayla Burch of Carver, Arina Jackson of Easton, Robert Faria and Philip Proctor, both of Lakeville, one great-grandson, Camden Burch of Carver. He was the brother of the late Evelyn Hartwick. A memorial service will be held on Fri. Dec. 30th in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St. Middleboro, at 11 am. Family will receive relatives and friends from 10-11 am on Friday morning. Burial will follow in Plymouth County Memorial Cemetery, Plymouth.
